Purpose of the position The role of Physiotherapist, is to carry out the Doctors orders and provide therapy and rehabilitation services to patients in our physical therapy facility. As well as, provide quality care, adhering to the company’s core values clinical guidelines and procedures. General Responsibilities & Duties 1. Provide patient-centred care using AIS’s methods in order to facilitate the patients healing. 2. Advise patients about recommended exercise plans. Communicate effectively with patients and/or parents of patients, respecting privacy, dignity and confidentiality. 3. Adhere to our practice policies and procedures. 4. Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures. 5. Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable. 6. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc. 7. Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy. Be able to perform all duties of Exam Tech to include: · New Patient tour, BSE, basic Exam, · Progress Exams and Progress Exam questionnaires · Perform digital postural assessment · Perform Bilateral scale measurement · Perform Bilateral Blood pressure · Perform Range of motion tests Follow the clinical guidelines and treatment algorithms set forth by Dr Michael. Public Screenings - Provide planning and executing support to screening team Specific Responsibilities of our Physiotherapists: To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care To undertake an assessment of patients, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide a physiotherapy diagnosis of their condition. Be highly skilled in communicating with patients of all ages who have a range of physical and psychological barriers to understanding. Excellent manual therapy skills required To treat patients within designated times (30 mins assessment including first treatment; 30-45 mins follow up appointments) Write medico-legal reports if required e.g. Insurance coverage. Be proficient in all forms of Electro modalities (Indications and contraindications) utilized by Be proficient in Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression (Indications and contraindications). Learn and be proficient at all forms of structural Rehab exercises. Learn all forms of Spinal traction. Learn and be proficient and monitor neuromuscular re-education.
