Job Overview
The candidate will be responsible for developing BainBridge's internal AI platform and building customised AI applications, agents and automated workflows using existing Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude.
This is a hands-on development role. The candidate should be comfortable with software development, API integrations, AI agents, databases and building web-based applications.
The candidate will work directly with senior management and various business departments to understand requirements and translate them into practical AI solutions.
Responsibilities
AI Platform Development
Design and develop BainBridge's internal AI Portal.
Build a common interface through which employees can access different AI models, including ChatGPT and Claude.
Develop employee login, access controls, dashboards and application interfaces.
Build a scalable and flexible architecture that allows additional AI models and applications to be integrated.
LLM Integration and AI Agents
Work with OpenAI, Anthropic and other relevant LLM APIs.
Identify and evaluate suitable AI models for different business requirements.
Develop AI agents capable of performing specific tasks and multi-step workflows.
Build automated workflows for information extraction, document analysis, reporting and business intelligence.
Evaluate model performance, accuracy, cost and reliability.
Business Process Automation
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive and information-intensive business processes.
Develop AI applications for email processing, document management, reporting, analysis and internal knowledge management.
Integrate AI applications with Microsoft 365, Outlook and other company systems.
Develop solutions that can process information from emails, Excel files, PDFs, Word documents and databases.
Data and System Integration
Design and maintain databases required for AI applications.
Develop APIs and integrations to connect AI applications with internal systems.
Build mechanisms to retrieve, organise and process company information.
Ensure appropriate data security, employee permissions and access controls.
AI-Based Analysis and Intelligence
Develop applications for management reporting, business analysis and decision support.
Explore predictive analytics and machine-learning applications for commercial and operational intelligence.
Work with business teams to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
Test and evaluate AI applications for accuracy and reliability.
Incorporate employee feedback and continuously improve workflows.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure applications are properly supported.
Coordinate with external technology partners whenever specialist development or expertise is required.
Qualification Requirements
Essential
Strong programming knowledge, preferably Python.
Practical experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
Experience building AI-powered applications and agents.
Knowledge of API development and integrations.
Experience with SQL databases and data management.
Understanding of web application development and backend architecture.
Knowledge of AI workflow automation and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft 365, Outlook and Microsoft Graph API.
Experience with web technologies such as React, JavaScript or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Experience with vector databases and document processing.
Familiarity with AI evaluation, security and deployment.
Exposure to machine learning and predictive analytics.
Candidate Profile
Hands-on developer who has built and deployed actual AI applications.
Able to take an idea from concept to a working application.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Comfortable interacting with business teams and understanding operational requirements.
Willing to explore new AI technologies and continuously learn.
Capable of working independently and taking ownership of projects.
