Job Title: Furniture Designer (Furniture Manufacturing Related Experience must) Location: Hyderabad (Devaryamjal) Job Description: We are seeking a creative and skilled Furniture Designer with a strong background in sofa and bed design , principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces for residential or commercial use. This role involves collaboration with engineers, carpenters, and clients to bring unique furniture concepts to life. Responsibilities: Design and develop custom furniture concepts based on client requirements and project briefs. Design and develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing sofas and beds . Use design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools to create detailed drawings, 3D models, and blueprints. Research trends in furniture design and materials to create contemporary, sustainable, and functional pieces. Select appropriate materials, finishes, and upholstery that align with the design vision and project goals. Collaborate with production teams, including carpenters, fabricators, and manufacturers, to ensure designs are executed accurately and within budget. Adjust designs as needed based on production limitations or client feedback. Prepare technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, ensuring all designs meet safety and ergonomic standards. Oversee prototyping and sample production to ensure the final product matches the design specifications. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technological advancements in furniture design and production. Maintain a portfolio of completed projects to showcase design capabilities. Requirements: Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in furniture design (mandatory). Graduate degree or equivalent level in furniture design, product design or related fields Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in sofa and bed design (portfolio required). Strong knowledge of design principles, including aesthetics, proportions, and functionality. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar. Knowledge of various furniture materials, including wood, metal, plastic, and upholstery fabrics. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and ideas clearly. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Salary Based on Experience Preferred: Experience with sustainable materials and eco-friendly design practices. Exposure to both mass production and custom furniture design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in B Cabinet or Spazio3D , along with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel . You will play a key role in transforming client requirements into production-ready drawings and specifications, ensuring seamless coordination with the production team and maintaining a high level of design accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed modular furniture designs and production drawings using B Cabinet or Spazio3D . Create and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD in compliance with production standards. Prepare accurate cutting lists, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and hardware details for production. Utilize Excel to manage cost estimation, materials planning, and production tracking. Collaborate with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability . Conduct site measurements and translate them into precise modular layouts . Optimize designs for material efficiency, ease of installation, and aesthetic appeal. Maintain documentation for revisions, client approvals, and project records. Identify and resolve production-related design issues proactively. Ensure designs meet company quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional experience in modular furniture design and production. Proficiency in B Cabinet or Spazio3D is mandatory . Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drafting. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and cost analysis. Excellent understanding of modular joinery, fittings, and hardware systems . Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Good communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Any Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or related field.
