Job Title: Quality Engineer Department:Quality / Production Reports To:Quality Manager / QA Head Location: [Your Location] Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet established quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and control systems to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and product performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Assurance & Control Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and inspection systems. Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment. 2. Documentation & Reporting** Prepare and maintain quality documents including inspection reports, test records, and non-conformance reports (NCR). Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits, etc.) and maintain audit documentation. Prepare PPAP, FAI, and other quality submission documents as required. 3. Process Improvement Identify areas of improvement in production and quality processes and suggest corrective actions. Implement lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce defects and rework. Participate in failure analysis and improvement projects (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC). 4. Supplier Quality Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure raw materials and components meet specifications. Review supplier quality performance and assist in developing supplier improvement plans. 5. Compliance Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality management standards. Maintain safety and environmental compliance within the quality function.
