Advantech is currently seeking a Business Development Manager based in Delhi, India, to drive growth in the expanding Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing market. This role plays a critical part in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and executing go-to-market strategies that align with our corporate vision. You will collaborate closely with our regional team in headquarters (Taiwan) and local teams in Bangalore, Pune, and Mumbai, while also spearheading business expansion in Northern India. As Delhi is emerging as a strategic hub for digital transformation and smart city initiatives, you will play a key role in accelerating our market presence and solutions offering in sectors such as smart manufacturing, intelligent transportation, healthcare, and infrastructure. Reporting of the role & Employment Location: This role reports directly to the Headquarters’ Regional General Manager and cooperation with local office team. Location: Delhi (preferred)/Bangalore Responsibilities of the role: Drive business development initiatives in India, particularly in emerging IoT-related market opportunities. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with Advantech’s global and regional business goals. Identify and grow strategic partnerships, channel relationships, and customer pipelines in Delhi, Bangalore, and other targeted regions. Collaborate closely with regional offices (Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai) and HQ teams to align on business plans and market execution. Lead sales planning, forecasting, and performance reviews to ensure profitable growth. Represent the region in business reviews and strategy alignment with headquarters. Ensure effective collaboration across functions such as CM&D, technical, and operations teams to deliver complete solutions to customers. Lead team development, delegate effectively, and foster a performance-driven culture. What you will need: (Skills and Experience – Must) Minimum 8–10 years in IT hardware business development, preferably in IoT or industrial tech sectors. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field. Fluent in English and Hindi, and excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders across regions. Proven ability to lead and manage teams to drive performance and growth. Strong market insight and financial skills with the ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies. Good understanding of the Indian market and customer landscape. Order & Customer Operations Manage Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) operations, including adding, editing, listing, and delisting products. Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and inventory levels. Create and manage promotions, campaigns, and discounts to support sales objectives. Monitor platform functionality and collaborate with IT to implement improvements and resolve issues.
