About Ad-Lab Ad-Lab is a performance-driven Google & YouTube Ads agency for ecommerce brands . We’ve managed over $150M+ in ad spend , scaled 100+ DTC brands , and built a culture around speed, ownership, and results. Now we’re building the next channel: LLM SEO / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) – ranking our clients inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI answer engines. We’re looking for someone to own and build this capability from the ground up. The Role As our LLM AI SEO Strategist , you’ll be responsible for making our ecommerce clients: Show up and get recommended, cited, and linked inside LLMs and AI search tools. Be fully “AI-ready” for the upcoming ecommerce boom as LLMs integrate shopping and product recommendations. Turn AI platforms into a real acquisition & revenue channel , working alongside our Google & YouTube strategies. This is not generic, outdated SEO. This is next-level ecommerce LLM SEO / GEO / AEO . What You’ll Do LLM & GEO Strategy Build and own LLM SEO strategies for ecommerce brands: from “best X for Y” queries to deep buying journeys. Map and prioritize question clusters (e.g. “best minimalist running shoes for flat feet”, “most durable dog harness”) and design how our clients appear in those AI answers. Align LLM SEO with existing Google & YouTube campaigns and best-selling products. Content & On-Site Optimization for LLMs Rework product pages, collections, and guides so LLMs can easily understand and summarize our clients’ offers. Create and brief answer-style content : FAQs, Q&A blocks, comparison pages, “best X for Y” guides, TL;DR summaries. Ensure content is structured so AI systems can pull clean, factual, and compelling recommendations. Schema, Entities & Technical Foundations Implement and optimize structured data (Product, FAQ, Review, Organization, Breadcrumb, etc.). Strengthen brand/entity signals across the web (citations, profiles, reviews) so LLMs treat our clients as trusted sources. Work with devs (when needed) to ensure clean, crawlable, and AI-friendly site structures. LLM Monitoring, Testing & Experimentation Systematically test prompts in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and similar tools across markets and personas. Use or help implement LLM SEO / GEO tools & internal trackers to monitor: How often brands are mentioned, In what order, With what sentiment, And whether links are given. Run experiments: change content, schema, and entities—and measure how this impacts LLM visibility and recommendations. Measurement & Reporting Tie LLM SEO work to real outcomes: Branded search lift, Direct traffic trends, Assisted conversions & revenue from LLM-optimized pages. Build clear dashboards and Loom walkthroughs for clients and internal teams. Education & Enablement Educate internal teams and clients on LLM SEO / GEO / AEO in simple language. Create playbooks, SOPs, and checklists so LLM SEO can be rolled out across many accounts. You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have Experience 3–6+ years of hands-on SEO experience (on-page + some technical), ideally with ecommerce brands . Proven work with Shopify / BigCommerce / WooCommerce (PDPs, category pages, internal linking, filters). Demonstrated interest or experience in: LLM SEO / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) AI search / AI Overviews / LLM-based discovery. Skills & Mindset Strong understanding of how LLMs find, summarize, and cite web content. You think in questions & answers : “What are people really asking?” “Where does our client deserve to be the answer?” Comfortable implementing and debugging JSON-LD schema and structured data. Solid grasp of E-E-A-T, entities, and semantic SEO . Advanced user of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) – you’re in them daily . Analytical: Comfortable in GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, Sheets/Excel , Able to design simple attribution logic for LLM-driven work. High ownership: You see this as building a new service line , not just “doing tasks”. You like experimenting, documenting, and turning findings into repeatable systems. Nice to Have Basic JavaScript or Python skills for scraping, testing, or automating small workflows. Experience with international SEO or multi-language stores. CRO awareness – you notice when a page is not just AI-friendly, but also conversion-ready.
