Accounts Recievables (AR) Team Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor:

  Supervise a team of AR Representatives and Callers, providing daily guidance, resolving escalated claims, and conducting regular performance evaluations.

• Workflow Optimization:

  Distribute and manage daily inventory lists, ensuring the team prioritizes high-value claims and critical aging buckets (30, 60, 90+ days).

• Denial & Trend Analysis:

  Analyze clearinghouse rejections and insurance denial trends to identify systemic issues and collaborate with the billing team to implement corrective root-cause strategies.

• Quality Assurance:

  Conduct regular audits of team call recordings and billing system notes to ensure accuracy, high collection efficiency, and compliance.

• Client & Management Reporting:

  Prepare and present weekly/monthly AR performance reports, collection metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to internal leadership and clients.

• Compliance Oversight:

  Enforce strict adherence to

  HIPAA regulations

  and company security protocols across the entire team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience:

  Minimum of [4-6+ years] in US Medical Billing, with at least [2+ years] in a dedicated supervisory or Team Lead role over AR calling operations.

• Industry Expertise:

  Comprehensive mastery of the RCM lifecycle, commercial/government insurance guidelines, appeals procedures, and complex denial management.

• Software Proficiency:

  Advanced hands-on experience navigating multiple EHR/PMS platforms (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, AdvancedMD, Epic) and clearinghouses (e.g., Change Healthcare, Waystar).

• Communication & Leadership:

  Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written) with a proven ability to motivate a team and professionally resolve client disputes.

• Analytical Skills:

  Strong data interpretation abilities, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for reporting.

• Schedule:

  Must be available to work standard US night shifts to manage real-time operations and client communications.
