Job Title: Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Specialist

Location: Tambaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Work Mode: On-site during Training & Probationary Period & Work From Home (WFH) eligible upon successful completion

Shift Timings: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM IST (Fixed Evening Shift)

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract / Temporary (2–3 Months Project with evaluation for extension)

Compensation: Fixed Stipend during training & induction; structured salary and performance benefits commence upon formal onboarding

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Specialist to join our accounting team in Tambaram. In this role, you will be responsible for transactional matching, identifying ledger variances, and resolving payment exceptions across client accounts.

This role involves direct client interaction during evening hours, requiring strong business English communication and advanced spreadsheet modeling capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed Accounts Receivable reconciliations, identifying discrepancy root causes between sales ledgers, customer statements, and bank receipts.
• Investigate unapplied cash, duplicate billings, short payments, and debit/credit mismatches.
• Communicate directly with corporate clients via email and voice calls to clarify billing discrepancies, request remittance details, and resolve outstanding exceptions.
• Prepare structured reconciliation summaries, exception trackers, and audit-ready adjustments using Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain strict adherence to daily turnaround times and reconciliation quality benchmarks.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Corporate Secretaryship, Finance, or related business discipline (B.Com / BBA / M.Com / Inter CA/CMA candidates welcome).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication. Must be confident in handling client-facing email correspondence and professional calls.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, logical/text manipulation formulas) and standard Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, Word, Teams).
• Analytical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to spot patterns, reconcile discrepancies across large financial datasets, and follow an audit trail.
• Work Location & Schedule: Willingness to work on-site at our Tambaram office for the training/probation phase, and commit consistently to the 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM shift.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
