Accounts Executive – Reconciliation

MillD is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Executive – Reconciliation to join our growing finance team in Bengaluru.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bank reconciliation, payment gateway reconciliation, marketplace settlements, e-commerce accounting, and Cash on Delivery (COD) reconciliation.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reconciliation, identifying payment discrepancies, tracking outstanding settlements, and maintaining proper financial records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bank & Payment Reconciliation

• Perform daily bank reconciliation and ensure accurate matching of transactions.
• Reconcile payment gateway transactions, settlements, and transaction fees.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements, payment gateway reports, and internal records.
• Monitor pending settlements and follow up on outstanding payments.

2. E-commerce & Marketplace Reconciliation

• Handle reconciliation of e-commerce and marketplace transactions.
• Reconcile sales, refunds, commissions, deductions, and settlement reports.
• Perform COD reconciliation with logistics and courier partners.
• Track payment discrepancies, short settlements, and unexplained deductions.
• Coordinate with operations and finance teams to resolve reconciliation issues.

3. Financial Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and settlements.
• Track outstanding payments, refunds, and reconciliation differences.
• Ensure timely closure of reconciliation activities.
• Support month-end financial closing and audit requirements.

4. Discrepancy Management

• Investigate payment mismatches and transaction-level differences.
• Coordinate with banks, payment gateways, marketplaces, and internal teams.
• Follow up on pending claims, refunds, and settlement issues.
• Identify recurring discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounts reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience in bank, payment gateway, marketplace, and COD reconciliation.
• Experience in e-commerce, quick-commerce, FMCG, or D2C accounting preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
• Good understanding of financial settlements, payment processing, and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple reconciliation activities independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with e-commerce and marketplace settlement reports.
• Knowledge of payment gateways and COD settlement processes.
• Familiarity with logistics billing and courier partner reconciliation.
• Experience handling high-volume transactions.
