Accounts Executive – General Accounting

MillD is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive – General Accounting to join our growing finance team in Bengaluru.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, purchase and sales entries, GST, TDS, invoice processing, vendor payments, and ledger maintenance.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting financial operations, ensuring timely transaction processing, and assisting with statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Day-to-Day Accounting

• Handle daily accounting activities and bookkeeping.
• Record purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records in Tally.
• Ensure proper documentation of all accounting transactions.
• Maintain and update general ledgers.

2. Purchase & Sales Accounting

• Process purchase and sales invoices.
• Verify invoices, supporting documents, and transaction details.
• Ensure accurate accounting of purchases, sales, and expenses.
• Coordinate with internal teams for invoice-related queries.
• Maintain proper records of debit notes and credit notes.

3. GST & TDS Compliance

• Handle GST-related accounting entries and documentation.
• Assist in GST and TDS calculations, deductions, and reconciliations.
• Maintain records required for GST and TDS compliance.
• Support preparation of GST and TDS reports and returns.
• Coordinate with consultants and auditors for compliance-related requirements.

4. Vendor Management & Payments

• Process vendor invoices and payment requests.
• Maintain vendor ledgers and outstanding payment records.
• Track accounts payable and payment due dates.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payment processing.

5. Financial Reporting & Documentation

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
• Support month-end closing activities.
• Assist in internal audits and statutory audits.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
• Practical experience in bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting.
• Knowledge of purchase and sales accounting.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, invoice processing, and vendor payments.
• Experience in maintaining ledgers and accounting records.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or D2C companies.
• Knowledge of inventory and purchase accounting.
• Familiarity with GST and TDS compliance procedures.
• Experience supporting financial audits and month-end closing.
