Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Executive to handle day-to-day accounting activities, including vendor payments, customer billing, collections, and reconciliations. Candidates with a background in the CHA / Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Transport industry are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices related to shipping lines, airlines, transporters, CHA, warehouses, overseas agents, and other logistics service providers.
• Prepare and process customer invoices for freight forwarding, CHA, transportation, and other logistics services.
• Verify invoices against shipment/job files, quotations, rate confirmations, and supporting documents.
• Ensure timely booking of purchase and sales invoices in the accounting system.
• Prepare vendor payment schedules and process payments after obtaining the necessary approvals.
• Follow up with customers for outstanding payments and maintain receivables aging reports.
• Perform vendor and customer ledger reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements on a regular basis.
• Coordinate with Operations, Documentation, Pricing, and Customer Service teams for invoice verification and timely billing.
• Handle vendor and customer queries, debit notes, and credit notes.
• Assist with bank reconciliation, month-end closing, and preparation of outstanding reports and MIS.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents for audit purposes.
• Possess basic knowledge of GST and TDS, including applicable deductions, reconciliation, and GST input credit verification.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Background in the CHA / Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Transport industry preferred.
• Basic knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Knowledge of vendor payments, customer collections, and ledger reconciliation.
• Understanding of freight billing, shipment/job-wise costing, and logistics documentation.
• Basic knowledge of bank reconciliation and month-end closing activities.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
