Accountant

The Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), a registered NGO, is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage its accounting operations, financial records, compliance coordination, and donor-related accounts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Finance

• Handle day-to-day and end-to-end accounting activities, including bookkeeping, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare basic financial statements and periodic financial reports.

2. Compliance

• Ensure timely completion of routine statutory, tax, and legal compliance requirements in coordination with the Chartered Accountant (CA).

3. CA & Audit Coordination

• Coordinate with the CA and auditors for accounts, audits, statutory filings, and supporting documentation.

4. CSR & Donor Accounting

• Maintain accurate records of CSR funds, grants, and donations.
• Track fund utilisation and assist with donor-related documentation and financial reporting.

5. Records & Management Support

• Maintain organised financial records, vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Monitor expenses and budgets and provide financial information to management as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in an NGO or institution.
• Good working knowledge of Tally, Microsoft Excel, and online banking.
• Understanding of NGO accounting, donations, audits, and statutory compliance.
• Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Preference for candidates with prior experience working with NGOs or institutions.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and financial record-keeping abilities.
