As a Supply Chain Intern at Abyom, you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing all aspects of the company’s supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor coordination, and data analysis. The position ensures timely procurement and delivery of goods, efficient inventory management, and seamless warehousing and distribution, contributing to cost savings, improved product quality, and overall supply chain efficiency. Strategic Responsibilities • Support the planning and execution of supply chain strategies that align with the company’s operational and business objectives. • Assist in maintaining and improving vendor relationships through effective communication and performance evaluation. • Identify and implement process improvements based on supply chain data and performance metrics. • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, forecasting, and optimized sourcing strategies. • Assist in ensuring supply chain practices adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Operational Responsibilities: • Manage purchase orders, including initiation, tracking, updating, and reconciliation with internal records. • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and materials. • Monitor inventory levels and stock movements; assist in maintaining optimal inventory through reorder point coordination. • Track shipments and manage logistics operations including warehousing and transportation activities. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of inventory, shipments, procurement transactions, and supply chain processes. • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal departments to support demand forecasting, product delivery, and operational continuity. • Participate in vendor negotiations and quality checks to ensure cost-effective sourcing and adherence to quality standards. • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, reduce inefficiencies, and improve operational workflows. • Prepare reports on supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to assist in management decision-making. • Assist in the development, implementation, and compliance of supply chain policies and standard operating procedures. Minimum Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. • Additional certifications in supply chain or logistics (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus. Preferred Skills & Experience: • 0–3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or inventory management. • Experience with ERP systems or supply chain management software is preferred. • Exposure to aerospace or manufacturing industry supply chain operations is desirable. Technical Competencies: • Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics operations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with supply chain tools/software is advantageous. • Ability to analyze supply chain data and contribute to process optimization. • Understanding of warehousing, transportation logistics, and vendor management practices. • Familiarity with supply chain KPIs and reporting standards.
