Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee sales activities and drive business growth within the Chandigarh region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Life Sciences industry, a proven sales background, and the ability to foster strong client relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts, expanding the customer base, and promoting Abdos Labtech's innovative product portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Sales Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets in the assigned territory. Identify new sales opportunities within the Life Sciences market and maximize revenue potential. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in research labs, universities, hospitals, and other life sciences organizations. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and provide personalized support and product insights. Account Management: Manage and nurture accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Conduct regular follow-ups to assess client needs, address concerns, and introduce relevant product updates. Product Knowledge and Promotion: Become an expert on Abdos Labtech’s product offerings, including laboratory plasticware, consumables, and specialized solutions. Conduct product demonstrations and effectively communicate product benefits and features to potential customers. Market Intelligence and Reporting: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback. Provide regular reports on sales activity, market trends, and potential growth areas. Offer insights to improve product positioning and marketing strategies. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Product & Marketing, Sales Support, and Product Development, to deliver a seamless experience for customers and align on territory goals. Training and Development: Regularly participate in training to keep updated on new products and technologies within the Life Sciences sector. Share knowledge and insights with the sales team to drive collective success. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or industry certifications are advantageous. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the Life Sciences or Laboratory industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Skills: Strong understanding of the Life Sciences industry and market trends Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Proven ability to build and manage relationships with diverse clients Analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Highly motivated and able to work independently while being a team player Travel: Willingness to travel within the designated territory for client visits, product presentations, and trade shows as required.
