Position Title: Piping Stress Engineer Experience Required: 2–3 Years Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Industry: EPC / Oil & Gas / Power / Petrochemical About the Position We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Stress Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in piping stress analysis, flexibility studies, and pipe support coordination for industrial projects. This role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of piping systems with applicable international codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive piping stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent software for critical piping systems. Review and validate piping layouts, isometrics, P&IDs, line lists, and equipment data sheets for stress compliance and constructability. Ensure all designs comply with relevant international codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, API, ASTM, and project specifications. Analyze and resolve issues related to thermal expansion, flexibility, sustained loads, wind, seismic, and dynamic conditions. Evaluate equipment nozzle loads and recommend design modifications where required. Specify and coordinate pipe support systems, including rigid supports, spring hangers, constant supports, snubbers, and special supports. Prepare detailed stress analysis reports, calculations, and technical documentation for client and internal reviews. Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning to resolve site-related stress issues. Interface with piping, mechanical, civil, and structural teams to ensure integrated and optimized designs. Candidate Profile (Essential Requirements) Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. 2–3 years of relevant experience in piping stress analysis within EPC or industrial projects. Strong working knowledge of CAESAR II or similar stress analysis software. Solid understanding of pipe support engineering, flexibility analysis, and load evaluations. Good knowledge of international piping design codes and standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams. Desirable Skills (Good to Have) Experience working on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Fertilizer projects. Exposure to FEA tools such as ANSYS for nozzle load and local stress checks. Site experience involving pipe support installation, inspection, and troubleshooting. Client interaction and technical query resolution experience.
