Job Summary:The Kitchen Helper assists the chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cleaning, organizing supplies, and ensuring smooth workflow during meal service. The role supports efficient kitchen management and helps maintain hygiene, quality, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:Assist the chef in basic food preparation (cutting, peeling, chopping, washing, etc.). Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment. Help organize and store food supplies properly. Ensure all ingredients and tools are ready before cooking (mise en place). Assist in plating and garnishing dishes under the chef’s supervision. Monitor stock levels and inform the chef of shortages or spoilage. Support in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries. Dispose of waste properly and follow kitchen waste management procedures. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak hours. Perform any other duties assigned by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
