B.Role Purpose:

The Technician Plant Operator (Hydraulics and Pumps) is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and pumping equipment within the plant. The role ensures continuous and efficient operation of all related systems, minimizing downtime and supporting plant production and safety objectives.

C.Key Accountabilities:

-Operate and monitor hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, pressure gauges, and other mechanical equipment.

-Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic and pumping systems.

-Start-up, shut down, and regulate plant equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

-Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.

-Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and system performance logs.

-Assist in installation and commissioning of new hydraulic/pump systems or equipment upgrades.

-Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and operational standards.

-Support emergency response and shutdown procedures in case of system failures or anomalies.

-Collaborate with engineers and other technicians for system optimization and technical troubleshooting.

-Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and plant equipment.

-Undertake any other duties or assignments as required from time to time by the management within reason.

Essential

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field

Minimum 25 years of experience in plant operations, with hands-on experience in hydraulic systems and pumps.
