2G GSM BSC/BTS Development Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for experienced 2G GSM BSC/BTS Development Engineers with strong knowledge of GSM architecture, telecom protocols, and RAN software development.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and optimizing GSM BTS and BSC software, including protocol stack implementation, call processing, mobility management, and network performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain GSM BTS and BSC software modules.
• Work on Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 protocol development.
• Develop call processing, Radio Resource Management, Mobility Management, and Call Control functionalities.
• Implement handover algorithms, power control, timing advance, and load balancing.
• Work on GSM signalling protocols, including LAPDm, RSL, OML, BSSMAP, DTAP, SCCP, MTP3, and SIGTRAN.
• Develop and enhance GSM features such as call setup/release, SMS, GPRS/EDGE, frequency hopping, and cell reselection.
• Work on Abis, A-interface, and Gb interfaces.
• Perform system integration, interoperability testing, and troubleshooting.
• Analyse protocol logs and resolve field-level issues.
• Optimize system performance, stability, and scalability.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of GSM architecture: MS, BTS, BSC, TRAU, and MSC.
• Good knowledge of GSM call flows, RR/MM/CC procedures, and mobility management.
• Hands-on experience in C/C++ and Linux-based development.
• Knowledge of Shell scripting and Python.
• Experience with GSM protocols and signalling.
• Familiarity with 3GPP GSM TS 04.xx and 05.xx specifications.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP, and SIGTRAN.
• Experience with debugging tools such as Wireshark, GDB, and GSM protocol analysers.

Pay: ₹375,000.00 - ₹45,000,000.00 per year
