2D Animator

As a 2D Animator specializing in Character Animation & Rigging at the entry-level, you will be responsible for bringing characters to life through Animate CC, Adobe After Effects, and Cartoon Animator. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging animations for storytelling-based projects. Your core skills will include proficiency in Animate CC, where you will excel in crafting frame-by-frame and tween-based animations, basic rigging utilizing symbols and parenting techniques, and executing walk cycles, lip syncs, and expressions with precision. You will also master the use of bone tools for character movement and skillfully layer and organize character parts for seamless animation. In Adobe After Effects, you will showcase your expertise in compositing 2D character animations, applying keyframes for movement, scale, and rotation, and utilizing puppet pin tools and mesh deform for natural character movement. Additionally, you will delve into basic motion graphics, visual effects, pre-composing scenes, and managing animation layers effectively. With Cartoon Animator, your focus will be on rigging 2D characters using bone-based and sprite-based systems, customizing premade motion templates, perfecting facial animation through face puppeteering and morph sliders, setting up camera movement and scene layouts, and synchronizing lip movements with audio using auto or manual sync methods. Having additional skills such as understanding animation principles like timing, squash & stretch, and anticipation, along with storyboarding knowledge and character design experience, will be advantageous. Familiarity with rendering formats and exporting for various platforms will also be beneficial. This full-time role requires you to work during the day shift at our in-person location.
