We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant specializing in partnership tax returns for real estate entities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of complex federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065) for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate taxation, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and K-1s for various real estate entities, including commercial, residential, and development projects.
• Conduct thorough tax research on complex real estate tax issues, including passive activity limitations, depreciation rules (MACRS, bonus depreciation, Section 179), capital gains, and like-kind exchanges (Section 1031).
• Assist with tax planning and advisory services for real estate clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare trial balances, and adjust financial statements for tax reporting purposes.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information, clarify tax questions, and provide professional tax advice.
• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist with tax audits as needed.
• Utilize various tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax CS, GoSystem Tax RS, CCH ProSystem fx) and accounting software efficiently.
• Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards affecting real estate partnerships.
• Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service.
• Maintain organized and accurate tax documentation and workpapers.
