We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior or Manager specializing in High Net Worth Individual (HNI) tax preparation and planning. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in complex federal and state income tax laws affecting affluent individuals, including those with intricate investment portfolios, trusts, partnerships, and international considerations. This role requires a professional who can manage a portfolio of HNI clients, provide proactive tax advice, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.

• Prepare and meticulously review complex federal and state individual income tax returns (Form 1040) for high-net-worth clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct in-depth tax research on intricate tax issues, providing clear and concise recommendations to clients and internal teams.
• Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for HNI clients, considering their unique financial situations and goals.
• Manage client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for tax-related inquiries and proactively communicating updates and opportunities.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, estate planners, and other professionals to provide comprehensive financial and tax solutions to clients.
• Represent clients before tax authorities (IRS and state agencies) during audits or inquiries, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
• Stay abreast of current and pending tax legislation, regulations, and pronouncements, assessing their impact on HNI clients and advising accordingly.
• Mentor and supervise junior tax staff, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback on tax preparation and research tasks.
• Utilize advanced tax software and technology efficiently to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the tax department.
