1040 HNI-Manager/Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager/Director specializing in High Net Worth Individual (HNI) taxation to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing complex tax engagements for our HNI clients, providing sophisticated tax planning, and leading a team of dedicated tax professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of federal and state income tax laws, exceptional client service skills, and a proven ability to mentor and develop staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation and review of complex federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040) for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Provide sophisticated tax planning and consulting services to HNI clients, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, as well as wealth transfer strategies.
• Develop and maintain strong, trusted client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact and advisor on various tax matters.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned recommendations and solutions to clients and internal teams.
• Represent clients before tax authorities during audits and examinations, effectively resolving disputes and ensuring compliance.
• Identify and implement tax-saving strategies and opportunities for clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Review financial statements and other financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting and identify potential tax implications.
• Participate in business development initiatives, including preparing proposals and engaging with prospective clients to expand the firm's HNI client base.
• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, communicating updates to clients and staff as necessary.
