Electrical Project Head Key Skills Technical Skills Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning of high and low voltage systems. Experience with 11kV, 33kV distribution lines , substation operations, and related equipment. Expertise in power system protection, control, and automation . Familiarity with energy efficiency , load management , and power quality analysis . Knowledge of electrical codes, standards (IEC, IEEE, IS) , and safety protocols. Ability to review and approve technical drawings, project plans, and specifications . Experience in rooftop solar , renewable energy integration , and grid connectivity . Proficient in budgeting, cost estimation, and resource allocation . Project Management Skills End-to-end management of electrical projects from planning to execution . Coordination with cross-functional teams – civil, mechanical, procurement, and client stakeholders. Strong risk management , problem-solving , and decision-making skills. Time management with a focus on on-time delivery and quality assurance . Experience in contract management, vendor negotiations , and compliance monitoring. Ability to develop project schedules , assign tasks, and monitor progress. Leadership & Communication Skills Lead, mentor, and train junior engineers and technicians. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and client interactions. Ability to handle conflict resolution and foster a collaborative work environment. Effective reporting to senior management and external stakeholders. Build and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and trust. Software & Tools Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar electrical design software . Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Ability to use ERP systems for resource tracking and procurement. Soft Skills Analytical thinking and attention to detail. Adaptability and ability to work under pressure.
