UI/UX Designer

• Job Title: UI/UX Designer Intern
• Duration: 6 Months
• Stipend: ₹6,000 per month
• Work Mode: Hybrid — 3 days per week working from office and 2 days per week working from home.
• Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hours per day)
• Location Preference: Delhi-based candidates will be preferred.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in designing intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly digital experiences.

As a UI/UX Designer Intern, you will be involved in the complete design process, including user research, wireframing, information architecture, visual design, and interactive prototyping. You will work closely with the product and development teams to transform ideas into effective design solutions that align with user needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to understand user expectations, behaviours, and pain points.
• Information Architecture: Develop sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and user journeys to create clear and intuitive navigation experiences.
• UI Design: Create high-fidelity mockups, reusable UI components, and design systems while maintaining consistency in visual identity and branding.
• Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes, including transitions and micro-interactions, to communicate design concepts and demonstrate product functionality.
• Usability Testing: Assist in conducting usability tests, gathering feedback, and improving designs based on user insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and frontend developers to ensure design feasibility, functionality, and smooth implementation.
• Design Iteration: Incorporate feedback, identify areas for improvement, and refine designs to enhance the overall user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Technical Skills

• Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma is preferred. Familiarity with Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools will be an advantage.
• Visual Design: Understanding of typography, colour theory, grid systems, spacing, composition, and responsive design principles.
• UX Fundamentals: Knowledge of wireframing, user journey mapping, user personas, and information architecture.
• Prototyping: Ability to create interactive prototypes, transitions, and micro-interactions using Figma or tools such as Framer and Principle.
• Development Awareness: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with an awareness of how UI designs translate into functional web interfaces.
• Design Thinking: Ability to approach design challenges with a user-centred mindset and develop practical, visually consistent solutions.

2. Soft Skills

• User Empathy: Ability to understand user needs and design experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and easy to navigate.
• Communication: Ability to explain design choices clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to identify challenges and propose effective design solutions.
• Adaptability: Willingness to accept constructive feedback and refine designs based on user insights and technical requirements.
