Sr. Engineer/ Assistant Manager

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Project Planning and Design: - Lead the mechanical design efforts for solar projects, including layout and system design. - Collaborate with the project team to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. - Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Technical Leadership: - Provide technical guidance and support to the mechanical engineering team. - Review and approve mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations. - Identify and resolve technical issues related to mechanical systems. Installation and Commissioning: - Oversee the installation of mechanical components such as solar panels, mounting systems, tracking systems, and HVAC systems for control rooms. - Ensure all mechanical installations are performed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. - Lead the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems to ensure proper operation. Project Management: - Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. - Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions. - Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients. Quality Assurance: - Develop and implement quality control processes for mechanical installations. - Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. - Address any non-conformities and implement corrective measures. Health and Safety: - Promote and enforce a culture of safety on all project sites. - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. - Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for the mechanical team.
