Key Responsibilities 3D Modeling Create detailed 3D models for characters, environments, props, and mechanical objects Develop both high-poly and low-poly versions optimized for different use cases Ensure proper topology and edge flow for animation and rendering Create clean UV layouts and apply high-quality textures and materials Model assets that align with established art styles and brand guidelines Optimize models for real-time rendering and various platform requirements Rigging & Setup Design and implement robust character and object rigs Create efficient bone hierarchies and control systems Set up constraints, drivers, and custom controllers for animators Perform accurate weight painting and vertex group assignments Develop facial rigs and blend shapes for character expressions Create mechanical rigs for props, vehicles, and interactive objects Troubleshoot and optimize existing rigs for better performance Animation Produce high-quality keyframe animations for characters and objects Create smooth, natural character movements and expressions Develop walk cycles, idle animations, and complex action sequences Animate mechanical objects, UI elements, and environmental assets Ensure animations meet technical specifications and file size requirements Create animation variations and loops for interactive applications Export animations in formats compatible with various platforms and engines Required Skills & Qualifications Software Proficiency Blender: Expert level proficiency Alternative 3D Software: Maya, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D experience is a plus Texturing Tools: Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, or GIMP Additional Tools: ZBrush or similar sculpting software (preferred) Technical Skills Strong understanding of 3D modeling principles and topology Advanced rigging techniques including IK/FK systems, constraints, and drivers Proficient in weight painting and deformation troubleshooting Knowledge of UV mapping, texturing, and PBR material workflows Understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, etc.) Experience with various file formats (FBX, OBJ, GLB, etc.) Knowledge of optimization techniques for different platforms Artistic Skills Strong sense of anatomy, proportion, and form Understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling Ability to work within established art styles and maintain consistency Eye for detail and quality in both modeling and animation Color theory and material understanding for realistic rendering Preferred Qualifications Portfolio: Comprehensive portfolio showcasing modeling, rigging, and animation work Experience: 1-2 years of professional 3D work but freshers with excellent portfolio may apply too.
