Job description Job Summary As a Senior MySQL Developer, you will manage and enhance a robust MySQL database environment with over 700 tables and 150 GB of data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design efficient database structures, implement data processing logic, and ensure optimal database performance. Key Responsibilities Database Design: Design and develop scalable database structures and schemas for large-scale MySQL implementations. Query Optimization: Write and fine-tune complex SQL queries to achieve peak performance. Data Processing: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow and processing. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance by managing indexing, query optimization, and system tuning. Integration: Collaborate with developers and engineers to integrate MySQL databases seamlessly with applications. Upgrades and Migrations: Oversee database migrations, updates, and upgrades with minimal downtime and maximum reliability. Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to relevant data protection regulations. Documentation and Standards: Create comprehensive documentation and contribute to setting best practices for MySQL development and management. Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in MySQL database development. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for high-volume data environments. Deep understanding of database design and architecture for large-scale systems. Familiarity with MySQL storage engines like InnoDB and MyISAM. Knowledge of MySQLs physical and logical architecture. Should have hands on experience with Mysql 8.0 and above Should have knowledge about Mysql sharding and Mysql Partitioning Should have knowledge about data archieval and its process Should be having proficiency in generating report through mysql for any requested data in the database Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills Experience in performance tuning and optimization using MySQL tools and native features. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
