Senior IT Project Manager - PMO

Role Overview: Flex is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager - PMO to join their extraordinary teams in Chennai. As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing IT projects, ensuring their cost, time, and scope are in line with the requirements. Your role will involve strategic planning and execution, project management office participation, program management, stakeholder engagement, resource management, risk management, performance monitoring, team leadership, and project management. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans for IT projects and programs to align with organizational objectives and goals. - Project Management Office: Participate as a Tower lead in the IT Corporate PMO organization to ensure consistency in approach, tooling, and methodologies. - Program Management: Oversee the management of multiple projects and programs to ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. - Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and external partners. - Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively across projects and programs for optimal utilization and balancing competing priorities. - Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across projects and programs. - Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate project and program performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership and making recommendations for improvements. - Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers and teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Project Management: Define project schedules, allocate resources, monitor progress, align project objectives with Flex's goals, deliver technology solutions, help with design and development tasks, lead issue identification and resolution process, manage risk tracking, monitor scope, and ensure proper documentation and handoff to operations teams. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience). - Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT, with 5-6 years of experience supporting and managing IT projects and programs for multinational organizations. - Experience working in a PMO environment with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Ability to bring complex projects to realization to meet business goals in a timely manner. - PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certifications, ITIL, or ITSM certifications are mandatory. - Desired experiences include strong strategic thinking, change management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, business & IT strategy experience, and knowledge of related software tools such as PlainView, MS Project, and Smart Sheets.
