Role & responsibilities

• Product Master Data Management:

  Create, maintain, validate, and update product master data in SAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

• Product Data Analysis:

  Analyze product specifications, descriptions, classifications, product codes, units of measurement, and other relevant master data attributes.

• SAP Team Coordination:

  Coordinate with the SAP team for product master creation, data updates, system changes, issue resolution, and process improvements.

• Cross-Functional Coordination:

  Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Sales, Finance, and other relevant departments to collect, validate, and maintain product-related information.

• Data Validation and Quality:

  Identify data discrepancies, duplicates, missing information, and inconsistencies, and ensure timely correction.

• Data Standardization:

  Ensure compliance with master data standards, naming conventions, coding structures, and internal business guidelines.

• New Product Setup:

  Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for new product introductions, ensuring all required data and approvals are completed before SAP master creation.

• Data Change Management:

  Manage product master data modifications and ensure proper documentation, approvals, and audit trails.

• Issue Tracking and Resolution:

  Monitor data-related issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and follow up until closure.

• Reporting and Documentation:

  Prepare master data reports, maintain trackers, and provide regular updates on data accuracy, pending requests, and issue status.

• Process Improvement:

  Identify opportunities to improve data management processes, reduce manual errors, and enhance operational efficiency.

• Compliance and Governance:

  Follow established data governance policies, SOPs, and internal controls to maintain data integrity.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in Master Data Management (MDM), preferably in product master data.
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP/SAP S/4HANA and master data processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in product data analysis, validation, and standardization.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including data analysis, lookups, filtering, and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple data requests and meet defined timelines.
