Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and execution-driven Assistant Vendor Manager to manage and grow assigned brand accounts. The role requires strong ownership of sales growth, profitability, joint business planning, and event execution. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with internal cross-functional teams and external brand partners to drive long-term growth, improve profitability, and build competitive advantage in the category. This role is best suited for professionals with strong execution experience in retail sales, e-commerce, or quick commerce , ideally with exposure to high-growth or early-stage startup environments. Key Responsibilities Business Growth & P&L Ownership : Drive topline sales, profitability, and sustainable growth for assigned vendor accounts while managing company P&L impact. Account & Relationship Management : Act as the primary point of contact for assigned brands/vendors, ensuring operational excellence and long-term partnership. Category & Competitive Insights : Analyze category trends, track competitor playbooks, and share actionable insights with brand partners for proactive interventions. Joint Business Planning : Build and execute annual/quarterly JBPs with brands, focusing on growth, investment planning, and category leadership. Event Management : Lead end-to-end planning and execution of sales events, ensuring operational readiness, visibility planning, and post-event performance review. Execution & Process Excellence : Ensure flawless execution of business plans, pricing strategies, promotion campaigns, and inventory management. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to unlock growth opportunities and solve business challenges quickly. Required Qualifications Experience : 3 to 6 years of experience in retail sales, e-commerce, or quick commerce ; startup experience is a strong plus. Execution Expertise : Proven track record of end-to-end ownership in planning and execution-heavy roles . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-growth environments with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills Prior experience in vendor/brand management roles within e-commerce or consumer-facing businesses. Exposure to P&L ownership, pricing strategy, and vendor negotiations. Familiarity with category dynamics in consumables, FMCG, or discretionary retail.
