Position Summary:

The Research Associate identifies companies actively hiring Accounting & Finance professionals and maintains a comprehensive Excel market intelligence tracker supporting the Executive Search & Staffing team. The role researches accounting and finance job openings, captures company and hiring information in Excel, and provides actionable business development intelligence through accurate daily research.

As workload allows, the Research Associate may also support the team with:

• Entering company and contact research into Target Recruit, the teams Salesforce-based CRM
• Building candidate research lists for open positions using LinkedIn Recruiter
• Database cleanup and data entry for candidate and client records
• Building contact lists for automated outreach campaigns
• Consolidating job-board research for Accounting & Finance postings to support recruiters and business development managers

• Remove expired postings and update active positions

Research Guidelines

• Focus on middle-market and growth-oriented companies
• Prioritize multiple Accounting & Finance openings
• Controller and CFO searches
• Finance department expansion

• Mergers & acquisitions
• Rapid growth
• Multi-location operations
• New finance leadership roles

Key Performance Indicators

The following targets are based on a full-time schedule and may be adjusted proportionally for a part-time schedule.

• 75–125 new Accounting & Finance jobs researched daily
• 30–60 new hiring companies identified daily
• 30–60 company contacts identified daily
• End-of-day Excel submission
• 98%+ data accuracy
• Less than 5% duplicate records

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in research, data entry, or recruiting/staffing support preferred, but not required
• Strong internet research skills and ability to work efficiently across job boards and online research sources
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Google Sheets experience is also helpful
• Strong written English communication skills
• Familiarity with U.S. job boards such as LinkedIn and Indeed, or tools such as ZoomInfo or Salesforce, is a plus; training can be provided
