Quality Control Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to join our flexographic plate-making team. While prior experience in the flexo printing industry is not mandatory, the candidate should have a solid understanding of quality control principles in a production or manufacturing environment. The selected individual will be trained in the flexo plate-making process and will be responsible for planning daily production and inspecting plates for defects during and after the production process. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning: Plan and coordinate daily production schedules for flexo plate manufacturing. Ensure optimal use of materials, machines, and manpower for timely and efficient output. Liaise with internal teams to prioritize jobs based on urgency and customer requirements. Quality Inspection & Control: Conduct visual and dimensional checks on flexo plates during and post-production to identify any defects or inconsistencies. Learn and apply key quality parameters specific to flexo plate making (training will be provided). Document quality issues and assist in implementing corrective actions. Monitoring & Process Support: Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs. Report any process deviations or recurring issues to the supervisor. Support in developing and updating inspection protocols and checklists. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain QC logs and production reports. Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to enhance output quality and reduce rework. Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Printing, Industrial, or Production Engineering. 1–3 years of experience in a quality control or production planning role in any manufacturing or printing-related industry. Basic knowledge of quality systems, visual inspection methods, and reporting tools. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality. Willingness to learn flexo plate production and its quality standards. Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred (but not required):Exposure to printing, packaging, or plate-making industries. Familiarity with ISO standards or quality assurance tools such as 5S, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
