Job Description

University: IMT Nord Europe (IMT-NE) Country: France Deadline: Not specified IMT Nord Europe in Lille, France, is seeking three postdoctoral researchers for 18-month appointments in the field of wireless communications and the Internet of Things (IoT). These positions offer the opportunity to engage in both theoretical and practical research, with applications ranging from industrial decarbonization to the development of next-generation wireless technologies. The research environment is dynamic, with strong ties to industry and proximity to major European cities. Requirements โ€“ A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. โ€“ Demonstrated expertise in wireless communications, IoT, embedded systems, or related areas (depending on the position). โ€“ Strong analytical, modeling, or experimental skills relevant to the specific postdoctoral topic. โ€“ Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary and international environment. Available Positions Embedded AI & Digital Twin for Sustainable IoT: Focus on decarbonizing industrial supply chains via real-world applications in collaboration with industry partner Goodfloow. Experience with NB-IoT, LoRa, embedded AI, energy constraints, and digital twin design is desirable. Modeling & Access Schemes for Dense IoT Networks: Involves mathematical modeling of interference and/or research on non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) for low-energy IoT devices. Background in advanced stochastic modeling or communication theory is beneficial. THz Communications for 6G: Research on high-speed wireless systems in the THz band, including radio channel characterization and hardware architecture for 6G communications.
