The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP (Laravel framework) and hands-on expertise in designing and maintaining complex web applications. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 20+ PHP developers, overseeing project deliveries, driving technical excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, people management, and mentoring capabilities are essential. Your expertise will be critical in enhancing the performance, scalability, and quality of our web applications while fostering a high-performing development team. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Proven experience of 12+ years in PHP development with deep expertise in the Laravel framework Prior experience in leading a team of 15-20+ developers in an IT services/product company Must not have a criminal background Strong portfolio demonstrating complex PHP projects and team leadership Job Skill Requirements: Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and related frameworks like CodeIgniter, YII Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration with front-end systems Advanced knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning Expertise in version control systems (Git, Bitbucket/GitHub) Strong hands-on skills in Bootstrap, HTML, JavaScript, CSS Experience with e-commerce platforms: OpenCart, WordPress, cs-cart, Magento Working knowledge of Mobile API development Ability to implement caching and search optimization plugins Experience in developing custom plug-ins and add-ons for CMS platforms Strong grasp of Agile development methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Trello) Excellent team handling, mentoring, and leadership skills Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Primary Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of 20+ PHP Developers ensuring timely project deliveries and adherence to coding standards Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to understand project goals and translate them into technical requirements Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using the Laravel framework Oversee the design and implementation of scalable RESTful APIs Provide architectural guidance and optimize application performance, database structures, and query design Drive code reviews, continuous integration, and technical training within the team Ensure quality control, troubleshooting, and debugging of applications Promote best practices in web development, technology adoption, and process improvements Act as the communication bridge between team, management, and clients ensuring smooth delivery and issue resolution.
