organic Fertilizer plant manager

Position Tier:

Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Commissioning & Setup:

Oversee the end-to-end greenfield setup, machinery positioning, and workflow mapping of the granulation/pelletizing factory floor.

• Greenfield QC Lab Setup:

Manage the design, equipment procurement, calibration, and SOP setup for an advanced analytical testing laboratory.

• Bioprocess & Recipe Optimization:

Mathematically formulate input recipes to maintain optimal C:N ratios (25:1 to 30:1), regulate pile moisture (50-60%), and optimize thermophilic temperature cycles to destroy pathogens while preserving nutrient yields.

• Production Line Management:

Command daily high-throughput manufacturing lines including hammer mills, dryers, screeners, and automated pellet/granulator presses.

• Quality Gates & Compliance:

Enforce multi-tier QA testing for total NPK profiling, organic carbon content, moisture limits, heavy metals, and pathogen eradication (Salmonella/E. coli).

• Regulatory Face-off:

Manage statutory audits by local agricultural ministries and regional bureaus of standards to secure and maintain product licenses.

• Leadership & Reporting:

Recruit, train, and direct cross-functional plant teams; provide clear data-driven reports on plant throughput and compliance variations directly to the Board.

Required Profile & Competencies:

• Academic Credentials:

M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Biotechnology, or B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical/Industrial Engineering.

• Practical Machinery Mastery:

Direct operational familiarity with automated NPK/organic mixture granulation plants, rotary drying lines, and industrial pellet presses.

• Lab Instrumentation Expertise:

Hands-on knowledge of Nitrogen Distillation (Kjeldahl), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), pH, and moisture validation parameters.

• Execution Mindset:

Proven history of setting up greenfield units or implementing manufacturing optimization projects that heavily expanded plant yields.
