The Role We need someone who can build and run our free community from the ground up. You'll create engaging content, spark conversations, plan events, and grow our community to 10,000 members in 3 months. You'll be the go-to person for immigrants, students, and founders navigating life in the US. This isn't a "manage what exists" role - it's a "create something amazing" role. Build & Engage the Community Manage Slack, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Facebook groups daily Come up with creative ideas to keep people engaged (posts, polls, AMAs, discussions) Grow the community to 10K members in 90 days Keep the vibe positive and resolve any issues quickly Create Content People Love Write weekly newsletters that people actually read Find and share great resources (articles, guides, videos) Maintain content calendars and resource libraries Source content on immigration, visas, student life, finance, and startups Run Events & Build Partnerships Plan and run webinars, Q&As, and workshops (2-3 major ones per quarter) Get great speakers and partners on board Handle all the logistics and follow-up Build relationships with immigration lawyers, accelerators, and industry experts Use Tools Smartly Automate workflows with Zapier Run email campaigns via ConvertKit Manage events on Luma, Partiful, Eventbrite Track everything in Notion and Google Workspace Other tools: OCRM, Thinkific, Zoom, Framer, Zoho, Odoo, Rebrandly, Feedly, Stripe You'll be a perfect fit if Can write engaging content (newsletters, posts, copy) Know your way around community platforms and the tools listed above Understand immigration, visas, student life, and the startup world Are a self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding Have great communication skills and love helping people Can juggle multiple projects without losing your mind Come up with ideas and make them happen If you're ready to build something from scratch and lead with creativity and confidence, let's talk.
