Job Title: Simultaneous 5-Axis CNC Programmer, Setter & Operator Location: Narketpally Department: Precision Machining / Manufacturing Reports To: Production Manager / Engineering Head Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Simultaneous 5-Axis CNC Programmer who can independently program, set up, and operate advanced 5-axis machining centers for high-precision components. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in CAM programming (for true simultaneous 5-axis machining), with strong experience in setting and running multi-axis CNC machines in industries like aerospace, defense, medical, or high-precision tooling. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize simultaneous 5-axis CNC programs using advanced CAM software (such as NX CAM, HyperMill, PowerMill, or Mastercam Multiaxis). Set up complex 5-axis machining centers including fixture design, workholding, tool setting, and part alignment. Operate the machine to produce high-precision parts per drawings, 3D models, and tolerancing standards. Interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD models with GD&T to plan machining strategies. Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, and machining parameters (feeds, speeds, step-overs). Perform in-process inspection using high-precision metrology tools and collaborate with the QC team. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues; recommend improvements for cycle time, tool life, and accuracy. Work with Engineering and Production teams to ensure machining efficiency and product quality. Maintain machine cleanliness, basic maintenance, and safety protocols at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field. Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on experience in simultaneous 5-axis CNC programming, setting, and operating. Strong experience with CAM software capable of full 5-axis toolpath generation. Proficiency with machine controls such as Heidenhain, Siemens 840D, Fanuc 31i-B5, etc. Deep understanding of complex part machining, tool paths, collision avoidance, and multi-axis kinematics. Ability to machine hard materials like Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys with tight tolerances. Excellent knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and high-speed machining strategies. Strong understanding of GD&T, surface finish standards, and component criticality. Preferred: Background in aerospace, defense, medical implants, or precision tooling industries. Experience with automation (e.g., pallet changers, probing systems, in-process gauging). Familiarity with CAD platforms (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).

The candidate must be proficient in reading engineering drawings, creating CNC programs, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Create CNC programs for turning operations using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, or manual G-code programming). Set up CNC turning machines, including chucking, tooling, offsets, and workpiece alignment. Operate CNC lathes (2-axis or multi-axis) to machine components as per specifications. Optimize cutting conditions (feeds, speeds, depths of cut) to maximize tool life and productivity. Read and interpret mechanical drawings with tolerances and GD&T. Perform first-off and in-process inspection using precision instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, etc.). Adjust programs and machine settings as needed to maintain part accuracy and process stability. Conduct minor machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized. Collaborate with production and quality teams to improve processes and resolve machining issues. Maintain documentation and records as per ISO / AS9100 or company standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC turning programming, setting, and operation. Proficiency in CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi. Strong understanding of machining practices, tool selection, and cycle time optimization. Ability to machine various materials including stainless steel, tool steel, aluminium, and nickel alloys. Capable of working with tight tolerances and critical dimensions. Good knowledge of surface finishes, thread cutting, grooving, and boring operations. Ability to work independently and ensure high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of G-code programming, tooling, fixturing, and machining practices, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and quality control. Key Responsibilities: Create and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis milling machines using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.) or manual G-code when required. Interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications to determine machining operations, tooling, and sequences. Set up machines by installing and adjusting fixtures, tools, and workpieces. Operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to perform precision machining tasks. Monitor machining operations and adjust speeds, feeds, and tool paths as necessary to ensure accuracy and productivity. Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs where required. Ensure quality and dimensional accuracy of machined components. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting issues. Collaborate with production planners, engineers, and quality inspectors to ensure efficient workflow and continuous improvement. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards and company procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or relevant discipline. Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating 3-axis milling machines. Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software. Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, and materials (aluminum, steel, superalloys, etc.). Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T. Good understanding of tolerances, surface finish, and machining sequence planning. Familiarity with quality control procedures and measuring tools. Sr. CAD/CAM Engineer Our talented CAD/CAM Engineers are responsible for planning and programming the machine contour-path machining of customer parts. You will be working with the best software packages and integrated systems available allowing you to be most productive.
