Job Description

Key Responsibilities 1. Assist in Backend Development Support in building RESTful APIs using Node.js (with Express.js or similar frameworks). Write clean, modular, and reusable code. Learn and apply basic coding standards and naming conventions. 2. Database Integration Work with databases like MongoDB or MySQL to perform basic CRUD operations. Understand and write simple queries and joins (if using relational databases). 3. Debugging & Issue Resolution Identify and fix bugs reported during development and testing. Use basic debugging tools like console logs or Node debuggers. 4. Code Collaboration Work collaboratively using Git (GitHub/GitLab) and understand basic version control practices like branching and merging. Participate in code reviews and take feedback constructively. 5. Understand Project Requirement Participate in team meetings to understand project requirements and break them into smaller tasks. Communicate blockers or delays proactively. 6. Basic Testing Write simple unit tests using tools like Jest or Mocha (if guided) Manually test APIs using Postman or similar tools. 7. Learning and Adaptation Continuously learn new Node.js features, libraries, and tools as guided by the team lead. Adapt to new tech stacks or frameworks used in the company. 8. Documentation Maintain clear documentation of APIs, endpoints, and functions. Comment code for better readability and team understanding. 9. Security Awareness (Basic) Learn basic security practices like input validation, rate-limiting, and safe data handling.
