Job Description: 1) Review the validity of contracts, assess risks, and initiate Extension of Time (EOT) letters as per contract provisions. 2) Conduct pre-construction contract risk assessments, identifying potential legal, commercial, and operational risks. 3) Quantify disruption, prolongation, and variation costs; prepare and draft comprehensive cost claims. 4) Identify entitlements, quantify claims, and ensure proper submission with supporting documentary evidence. 5) Manage and review day-to-day correspondence, maintaining proper contract documentation and records. 6) Issue notices to sub-contractors for delays, and respond to client delay notices in line with contract terms. 7) Analyze potential risks and opportunities across projects, providing claims analysis and mitigation strategies with a realization roadmap. 8) Prepare detailed rate analysis for variations and extra items, including taxes, overheads, and profit. 9) Monitor all RA submissions, price adjustments, secured advances, deductions, and contractual obligations. 10) Ensure contract closure compliance: final bills, claims, retention money, bank guarantees, completion certificates, defect liability certificates, and collection of receivables. 11) Draft and initiate arbitration processes, including notices, applications to appointing authorities, and coordination with legal counsel. 12) Vet applications seeking ad-interim measures under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. 13) Prepare and present head office reports regarding variations, claims, and project performance. 14) Coordinate with various departments at Site and HQ for effective implementation of management decisions. 15) Provide responses to bids, proposals, and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with legal and commercial standards. 16) Maintain and update the company’s contract management database and documentation system. 17) Provide legal support on contractual matters, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations. 18) Advise management on risk mitigation strategies, contractual amendments, and proactive decision-making to prevent disputes. 19) Conduct post-contract reviews to identify lessons learned and improvements for future projects.
