The ideal candidate must be motivated and want to work with others to learn how to detail and design equipment. Roles & Responsibilities: Finishing designs Detailing designs Completing bill of materials Production releases Correspondence with machinists and assemblers Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings Proficient use of AutoCAD (2020 and higher) Knowledge of mechanical design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Knowledge of ISO, DIN standards and metric system Strong knowledge of static and dynamic mechanics Proficient use of NX Mechanical Engineering Designer This position requires working with lead designers in the AutoCAD and NX design of CNC machining centers, automation. The ideal candidate must be motivated and want to work with others to design equipment. Roles & Responsibilities: Develop mechanical designs (3-D models) for the manufacturing of metal cutting machines, grippers and automation. Provide mechanical designs primarily for automotive customers. This involves the total coordination of all systems and components to ensure the efficient operation of metal cutting machines and assembly equipment to meet the design intent and final approval of the customer. Execute industrial calculations (static, dynamic), interpret and analyze technical drawings, and define components, mechanical diagrams, and specific tools for manufacturing and assembly. The design work includes overseeing the detailing of the design, completion of all assembly drawings, and the ordering of any special purchases. In addition, the task will also include controlling and developing the planning document for determining all motion control components and function/cycle time diagrams. Tasks will include controlling changes needed to the designs due to customer part changes, manufacturing, and assembly issues. Individual will be required to find solutions to all and any problems from the design phase up through customer runoff. Education & Experience Requirements: Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings. Proficient use of AutoCAD (2020 and higher). Knowledge of mechanical design, material science, manufacturing processes, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Knowledge of ISO, DIN standards, and metric system. Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards. Strong knowledge of static and dynamic mechanics. Proficient use of NX Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, years of subject-specific professional experience Confident handling of 3D CAD systems, preferably Siemens NX and MS-Office skills Experience in design of hydraulic clamping fixtures Automotive Experience in design of gantries, conveyors Preparation of drawings and bills of materials Definition of tolerances (GD & T), heat treatments and material selection Creation of standard drawings (e.g. CAD structures, guidelines, guidelines and standardization catalog) Adaptation of requirements for components and assemblies Structured and analytical approach Strong communication and ability to work in a team, sense of responsibility, passion for complex constructions
