Role & responsibilities 1. Role Overview The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, managing distributors & retailers, increasing product visibility, and driving market growth for Quick Pure packaged drinking water. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Sales & Revenue Growth Achieve monthly, quarterly & annual sales targets. Develop sales plans for 1 Ltr, 500 ml, and other pack sizes. Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions. B. Distribution Management Appoint, manage & support distributors in the assigned area. Ensure product availability across retailers, hotels, restaurants, cafs, corporates, and wholesalers. Maintain distributor inventory levels and ensure timely secondary sales. C. Market Expansion Identify new markets, potential retailers, and corporate clients. Drive numeric & weighted distribution growth. Execute new product launches smoothly. D. Team Management Manage and guide Sales Executives / Sales Representatives. Conduct training on products, pricing, and sales techniques. Track team performance and motivate them to achieve targets. E. Trade Marketing & Branding Execute company schemes, offers, and promotions. Ensure visibility: posters, danglers, branding boards, racks. Build strong relationships with retailers & channel partners. F. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily sales reports (DSR). Report competitor activities, price movements, and offers. Track outstanding payments & ensure collection discipline. Preferred candidate profile 3.Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 25 years of experience in FMCG / Beverage / Water distribution. Strong distributor & retail network knowledge. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to handle field sales team. Strong analytical & reporting skills. Ready for extensive field visits. 4. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) Sales target achievement. New outlet additions per month. Distributor performance & expansion. Market visibility & branding execution. Collection efficiency. 5.
