Job Description

JOB SUMMARY Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Ability to create good documentation on the tasks expected and tasks completed based on the project assigned. Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Respon sibilities Should be a RHCSA/RHCE Certified engineer with excellent hands-on knowledge on Linux essential for complex deployment including virtualization / containers. Should have in-depth knowledge in Linux with respect to security (MSB) and vulnerability mitigation. Should have excellent knowledge on Linux KVM and Containers. Should have RHEL /OEL Cluster implementation hands-on knowledge. Should have in-depth Linux troubleshooting skills and problem analysis techniques. Should have good knowledge and understanding of SAN and SAN storage. Should have hands-on experience in installation, configuration and supporting VMware clusters in multi clustered environments. Should have good knowledge on VMware HA, DRS, SRM and patching. Should have good experience in installing and configuring HPE and Oracle server Hardware. Should have good experience in troubleshooting HPE/Oracle server hardware failures. Should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Should have the ability to create quality technical documents pertaining to tasks assigned. Should be a good team player and understand business support service.
