Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for handling escalated incidents and High Availability environment incident Management on LINUX Platform
• Responsible for handling CISCO UCS Physical servers
• Problem Management on LINUX Platform.
• Proficient in ticketing tools like Service Now
• Change Management: Prepare Implementation, back out and test plan for Change records. Perform risk and impact analysis for changes.
• Disaster Recovery planning and conducting DR tests.
• Identify and drive continual improvement program in LINUX environment and improve the service efficiency.
• Basic Understanding of AWS Public Cloud
• Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
• Execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Adherence to the patch management procedure for applying patches on the server
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
• Provisioning of new servers as and when required
• Should have knowledge about VDI environment.
• Capacity management (Out of disk/Memory/CPU related issues)

Must be comfortable for 24*7 shift environment

Preferred Skills

• Linux server administration skills across RHEL8,9 operating systems
• Significant experience with Disk Management, File Permissions, server health monitoring, NFS, Application servers
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades for Linux OS
• Troubleshoot system issues related to CPU, memory, disk, network
• Maintain system hardening and compliance according to security standards
• Manage users, permissions, and security policies
• Technical understanding of Package Installation & Server patching using tools.
• Experience with Physical servers
• Knowledge of VM build, Template.
• In-depth knowledge of LVM/VG/PV and troubleshooting skills
• OS performance checks & troubleshooting performance issue

Analyze logs and system metrics for proactive issue resolution.
