Role: Chair Side Dental Assistant with Experience Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Preparing patients for dental work, recording patient histories, and providing instructions for oral health and post-treatment care. Assisting the Dentist: Working closely with the dentist during procedures by using four-handed dentistry techniques, such as suctioning, passing instruments, and providing materials. Infection Control: Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment, preparing instrument trays, and maintaining a clean treatment environment. Radiography: Exposing and developing dental radiographs (x-rays) and ensuring proper safety measures are followed. Material Management: Preparing, mixing, and providing dental materials for various procedures. Administrative Tasks: Recording treatment information, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining dental supplies. Equipment Care: Caring for dental equipment and ensuring it is properly maintained. Essential Skills and Qualities: Technical Skill: Proficiency in handling dental instruments and materials and operating dental equipment. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for procedures, record-keeping, and infection control. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a dental healthcare team.
