About the job: Key responsibilities: 1. Staff management Recruitment and hiring: Interview, select, and onboard new employees Training and development: Ensure staff are properly trained in food handling, customer service, product knowledge, and safe working practices. Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs. Performance management: Motivate the team, conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and handle any disciplinary issues. Conflict resolution: Address and resolve employee disputes professionally to maintain a positive work environment. 2. Operations and production Inventory management: Order ingredients and supplies, conduct regular inventory counts, and minimize waste (shrinkage) by monitoring product expiration dates. Equipment maintenance: Ensure all store equipment is functioning correctly and is regularly maintained and cleaned. 3. Financial management Budgeting: Help develop and manage the store's budget, including tracking revenue and expenses. Sales and profitability: Analyze sales data to identify trends, set sales targets, and implement strategies to increase profitability. Cost control: Monitor labor costs, inventory, and other expenses to ensure the business operates efficiently. Security: Manage cash handling procedures and secure the store at the beginning and end of each day. 4. Customer experience Exceptional service: Model and ensure that all staff provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Handle complaints: Address customer inquiries and resolve any complaints professionally and effectively. Build loyalty: Engage with customers to build friendly relationships and a loyal customer base. Merchandising: Oversee the arrangement of products in display cases to maximize visual appeal and encourage customer purchases. Special orders: Manage and coordinate special orders, such as cakes for parties or events, ensuring they are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction. 5. Marketing They will be the point of contact for all things related to marketing being rolled out by the central marketing team. Proficient in Google Sheets Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, billing, and expense tracking. Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should be proficient in 2 out of these 3 languages - English, Hindi, Kannada.
