JD for Position: Continental Commi 1 (Junior Chef) Hot Kitchen We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Commi 1 to join our culinary team. As a Commi 1, you will work closely with senior chefs to assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are upheld. This position requires a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, ensuring consistency and quality. Develop and refine recipes, focusing on authentic flavors and modern presentation techniques. Design seasonal menus that incorporate fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Collaborate with the culinary team to introduce innovative dishes that align with current food trends. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Ensure proper inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation, to minimize waste. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards as per FSSAI regulations. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure dishes meet the establishment's standards. Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a Commi Chef or in a similar role in a professional Hot kitchen. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Skills: Strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Good communication and team collaboration skills. Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food.
