Junior Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Delhi, India. The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including posting journal entries, preparing vouchers, and updating ledgers. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciling bank statements, and assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves preparing basic financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. The Junior Accountant will help maintain organized documentation and support audits and regulatory reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including data entry, spreadsheets, and basic reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and ability to manage routine financial tasks consistently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with finance and operations teams.
• Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; internships or prior experience in accounting or finance are an advantage.
• Understanding of basic tax concepts and compliance requirements is beneficial, especially within the insurance or financial services sector.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
