Job Description

Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and securing the best terms and conditions. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, reducing excess inventory and minimizing stockouts. Cost Management: Analyze and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices while maintaining quality standards. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for purchased materials, conducting regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate product availability, and compare prices and quality. Material Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of various materials used in interior design and construction, including their properties, applications, and sourcing. Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring all legal and company requirements are met. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks by developing contingency plans and ensuring supplier reliability. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus. Experience: 4-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role, preferably in the interior design or construction industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement tools which are Basic Tally, Microsoft Office, Google Sheets Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate suppliers, manage budgets, and improve procurement processes. Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
