Intensivist/ Critical Care Physician

Role & responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
  
• Diagnose and manage life-threatening conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, and multi-organ dysfunction.
  
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
  

ICU Procedures & Interventions

• Perform and supervise procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and ventilator management.
  
• Manage life-support systems including mechanical ventilation, dialysis support, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  

Emergency Care

• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
  
• Stabilize patients and ensure appropriate escalation of care.
  

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with specialists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions.
  

ICU Administration

• Ensure adherence to ICU protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
  
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and audits.

• Ability to work under pressure in high-acuity environments.
