JOB DESCRIPTION – INDIVIDUAL DETAILER Key Responsibilities: Develop rebar placement drawings: Create detailed drawings that specify the placement, size, and bending of rebar within concrete elements like foundations, columns, beams, slabs, masonry wall and etc. Generate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS): Produce precise schedules that list the rebar lengths, types, and bending requirements for each member. Ensure compliance with codes and standards: Follow industry standards like ACI (American Concrete Institute) and incorporate client-specific requirements into the detailing process. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers: Clarify project details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate detailing. Perform quality checks: Verify the accuracy of drawings and schedules before they are sent to fabrication. Maintain accurate records: Organize drawings, schedules, and revisions, and prepare revision logs. RFI Management Individual Detailers Preparing RFI documents, clearly stating the issue and requesting clarification for the project Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: Minimum 5 – 7years of experience in rebar detailing. Knowledge of rebar detailing ACI standards and codes Required Skills: Proficiency in technical drawing software: Rebar CAD, Auto CAD or similar software are commonly used. Attention to detail and accuracy: Ensuring that drawings are precise and meet project requirements is essential. Ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings: Rebar detailers need to understand the design intent and create accurate shop drawings. Effective communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
